A User Story is a concise, simple description of product feature written from the point of view of the person who will use it. They have a simple format:
As a [type of user/customer], I need to [do some task], so that I can [get some result].

This is a FREE User Story Template in Excel and OpenDocument Spreadsheet format. The template is fully editable with Microsoft Excel and can be converted or changed to suit your project requirements.
The priority of each story. This template uses MoSCoW: must have, should have, could have, will not have. You can easily change these options in the DROPDOWNS tab. There are plenty of alternatives to MoSCoW which you could use for example, high, medium, low or the Kano model.
Story format
Each User Story is structured using this format:
AS A [type of user] I NEED TO [do some task] SO THAT I CAN [get some result]
For example:
As a Project Director I need to get a daily report on project revenue so that I can control and report on department revenue.
Status
The status of each User Story. The dropdown menu options are: open, pending review, rejected, approved. You can change the menu on the DROPDOWNS tab.
