Use this bpmn explorer to search symbols or to filter by notation type. For example: view all Start Events, all Activity types, all Gateways or view all Interrupting notations.

Using the search to find symbols

The search box on the left hand side of the page allows you to search for symbols by keyword. For example you could search for message symbols. The search works as you type and is very powerful for finding all symbols with certain markers or type e.g. parallel gateways, compensation activities and events, timer events etc.

The dropdown menus - filter BPMN symbols

Each dropdown menu works independently.
All Symbols shows all symbols or allows you to filter by the main groups:

• flow objects (events, actvities, gateways),
• connecting objects (sequence flows, message flows, and associations),
• data, artifacts (annotations, groups)
• and swimlanes.

All Types shows sub categories of Events and Activities.

• Events types - end events, start events and intermediate events.
• Activity types - calls, sub-processes, tasks, transactions.

All Markers/sub-types allows filtering by some symbol markers: Boundaries, Catch, Conditional, Interrupting, Non-Interrupting.

If no symbols are show try taking off one of the filters.
